What do i say about such an amazing project. This is her second album however I havent herd of her until now. She is a cross between Jazz and Soul music with a twist of R&B. Her band is just so funky her shit is slick as fuck. I don't know what to say about it really.
That track Rehab is fucking crazy. Lyrically she is nothing like i have ever been exsposed to before and the music behind her is wonderful. Im sure that is a live band in the studio with her no dought about that.
My favorite songs are My Tears Dry On Their Own Rehab You Know Im No Good and Love is a Losing Game and Back To Black. Im not sure if this version of You know im no good is tha one on da album but Ghostface and her make wonderful music together im just in love with her sound
She kind of reminds me of Lauryn Hill tha way she sounds. She sounds like half of these songs were written under the influence of alcohal mainly rehab. She has shocked the world nobody has herd anything this orginal since a John Legend or even Alicia Keys this is a breath of fresh air.
If you ever seen an old school black and white movie where they dance to do wop and what no the music behind her reminds me of 50's 60's swing yet its so sing songgy and easy to relate too
her album is a must listen mainly if your into music this is the type of project that can't be ignored and if u do ignore it you are not truely a fan of music..Even Jay-Z likes it.
He hopped on da rehab remix that is fucking crazy as shit. I dont have nothing to say but if you haven't at least checked out her singles then you don't no what you are missing!
