Default Which software?! - 08-03-2007, 12:32 AM

some of the beats im hearing seem an impossibilty with just Reason3 alone (which is wat ive got)

so what software are u guys using?

lol its possible with reason, Just gotta know how to use the effects. Its not really the software its self if you have vst's some real nice ones then you'll know what im talking about, unfortunately reason cant use vsts i would say get somthing like Project 5, Ableton live 6, or Cubase sx 3.

They all do the same stuff but what I like about all these is you could freeze the instrument so it wont use up your cpu and still hear it.

Do you think your computer is fairly fast and can handle alot??

This should be in the Producer Talk section, somebody will move it soon.

o right my bad, and yeh my computers alright, gettin a new one soon so itll be fine. My brother uses cubase sx3, but i dont really like the sounds on cubase, i think u can use the reason sounds in cubase though cant ya?

I use Reasons and Fl Studio...i rewire them together....but fl studio u can put the best soundz and shyyt on there...and its much easier and understandable...nah mean

Yea but with cubase it really depends on the sounds you put up there your self mostly every thing is a vst.

o right nice, im the only one using just reason then. One dig i got on reason is the awkwardness of the sequencer and how awkward it is to edit certain things. i guess u get used to it tho. u lot all got keyboards ya? i havnt yet

it's gotta be a bitch usin reason witout one...

I use Reason, FL Sutdio (Recycle/Adobe Audtion when needed)...

and wat u talkin bout... there's 3 ppl in this thread usin reason inclucin me...

i use fl studio and sampletank, and i dont got a keyboard either, fl studio lets you use your computer keyboard to play notes
i dunno if you know this yet but you can do that wit reason too if you dl some extra stuff

I just got mine in December before that i used the mouse for every thing, but i noticed a gigantic improvement of my work almost 75% better, yall didnt hear my new stuff yet. I knew i didnt know how to read notes n shyt but still grabbed 1. Now I know what keys are what. If you got cash for a midi keyboard go for it.

i meant the only one JUST using reason 3 alone lol
and yeh it sucks not havin a midi keyboard, the damn matrix sequencer is a pain in the arse for everything lol! i cant wait til i get a keyboard :D i aint got a clue how to play chords and what notes are what either, i just got an ear for it i think, i can tell what goes with what usually :D cheers for the replies people

i use Fl Studio... but when i had reason i loved the drums and all, they sounded better and all... but i still use Fl Studio because it's easier.
