Whats Wrong Wit My Vst's???????

I got fl studio 6 producer box version. How come none of my vst's work at all:confused-mad: . Am I opening them wrong or something? Pleez help!!!!!!!

Are they your own or are they the ones that came with it?

My own vst's that I have downloaded dont work.

what do you mean..? are you able to load them up, but they wont play sound? or you cant load them at all.

I wrote alot but its simple. Some you need to go to C:*\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 6\Plugins\VstPlugins some are only .dll files the icon looks like a gear. Others might have a folder with the presets, sounds etc. Try copying files from C:*\Program Files\Vst Plugins and pasting them in the other place above. Dont Keep include those * symbols I couldnt write it normally because it makes a smiley.

Go into fruityloops right click on a channel go to insert then click on more and go to refresh safe scan. You should see the Vst you are looking for just check off the box then try opening it normally from the list in FL.

Also if everything goes good exit out of FL then open it again because if it decides to crash you gotta rescan again.

Alright thanks guys, now I have them working, but I want to know why does it take a while for the vsts to play when i have em in piano roll? Say I have 3 notes going, it wont actually play untill the second note, but when it loops back the whole sequence will play??? whats going on now???

Its probably because of the buffer go into options audio settings and you see this bar the lower it is the faster but when its real low youll hear pops and static, depending on the specs of your hardware. If you move it higher it will play more but it will lag more.

Also it can be you cpu and ram power making it go slow.

I dont mean to seem rude, but for anyone else who is having the same problem. If you go t options>file settings than set your extra vst folder to C:$\program files\vstplugins or whereever your vst's are located. You wont have to move them.

^^^ Yea i said it the long way because FL sees all .dll files as plug-ins in that directory when some of them are files to help the plug-in run or something extra, you might end up with all those .dlls on your list that aint plug-ins.
