Whats ur signature instrument in ur beats ???

just wanna know cuz theres sum beatmakers that are different from each other... sometimes using the same shit makes a producer/beatmaker look bad, like cool & dre have been criticized 4 being wanna be neptunes. wuts ur main instrument or if not main but favorite 2 use ??? !!! ??? !!!

I switch up every few days....I like using a lot of synth sounds, but my main concern is the drums and percussion in the beat...so that's what I try to go with.

i like 2 use some of the classic instruments:violin , grand piano, trumpet ...
and other stuff that sounds good

yea, ever since i can remember my ear has always told me the drums are very important in ur beat, like i think alot of producers should combine to make one bad ass beat cuz they bring different shyt 2 the table... like i would take just blaze 4 the drums, heatmakers on percusion & cymbals, dre on synths, scott storch on piano, timbaland for the breaks, lil john's for the bass, & kanye to sample every other 4th bar in the verse. thats gangsta right there 4 real

For me it's a little different. I am a jazz saxophone player, so all of my beats have a jazzy feel. I have to catch myself because I tend to wear the flute & flugel horn combo out.

As a musician, I try not use any particular instrument/sound and make it a signature sound. Contrarily, I just try to make whatever sound I used as hot as possible, so that it will function the way that I intend for it to function...you dig?

I guess there are advantages to creating a "sound". On the other hand I see the disadvantages as well.... What happens when that sound/trend wears thin, and what used to be hot isn't anymore? Do you give up producing and start managing, or tap dancing, or what?

My rule of thumb is to strive to make whatever your sound is, innovative. And keep moving music forward. It's our responsibility to the art form.

I focus a lot on my drums. I also put lots of drops and diferent types of weirf sound effects.

I focus mainly focus on the levels of my drums... thats what gets people to break they neck..... look @ dre... his drums alone made him 1 of the illest producers ever.... so i mixdown the track... throw it in my boys whip.. and let it bang

Drumz, Drumz, Drumz. A lot pf cats dont like 2 use basslines cuz the frequency might take away from the kick drum, but Im a funk child and I usually cant live without a good funky bassline. After that, any instrument that sounds good with the groove I got at that point.

i criticise myself harder then ever when i start to like an instrument more. i might be on one style for a week max and say its time to switch up. unless im going for album production or a strict theme mixtape that i want to flo nicely. but a RAW Bassline is krak, with some real dirty grimey drums

i love guitar sounds/effects... also i like strings and synths... i find myself using a lot of pianos most of the time tho and definitely some grimey drums ^^^
