What's up on GURU??????

What word people? I been making hot beats for awhile without the use of and MPC, Roland joint or anything like that, but I got the MPD24 as a gift/dare. my brother, a slightly more known dj/producer than me(well at least in america), bet me that i couldn't touch his tracks if i used something a bit more "modern". yes it takes me a while to make a track, but when i'm done it's hot. so anyway, now i got this hunk of plastic and metal called an MPD24 and now i'm being told i need to get GURU. can anybody help me?

I used guru wit my mpd and honestly I don't think guru is worth it. Its big as hell because the samples it comes with and I don't think you can import your own sounds. I could be wrong tho. Alot of the drums are weak and need to be EQed.

I have GURU, without the samples.
It was 14MB I think, just the VST.
U can drag ur own in from the browser on the left side.
It's confusin, but u can use ur own samples.

So ABM you saying it's not worth the gwap, but what about gettin it from somewhere else (Limewire,Ares, etc.) would it be worth it then? Where would i go?

And Elimn8, you saying that it's str8 as long as you can figure out how to load your shit into it. well if it's that hard just to figure out how to put crap into it, isn't just as hard to tweek the sample once you get it in?

I agree wit ABM..its not all that great..its a little hard to use..it takes awhile to figure out..you can use your own samples tho..you should try befor you buy..

U just gotta explore it for a couple hours to learn where everythin is.
Tweaking the sample is easy, and there's built in effects, so u can do whatever u want to it.

so where can i go to get a download? not a demo, a str8 up download?

Guru seems kind of amateur to me when I use it. No real sound processing options...

i got a question--how do you make it so that when you press a button the whole sample doesn't play unless you hold the button down. sometimes i just want a little of the sample to play. not the whole damn thing. i'm using the FL joint like you suggested.
