what are your main production problems music wise?

The reason I ask is simple

As a real music composer and arranger I constantly get question from hip-hop producers and constantly critique but rap and hip-hop really isn't genre, so my lessons usually go over people's heads but there are a select few who actually want to add formal elements to there sound so I though I would create a blog for it teaching people about each instument sounds, why, the theory, and how to use them. That way the producers ( who are 99% cluless) can have some control in and format in there production...so that they can call at will the sound they want instead of spend hours experimenting.

As an arranger and guitarist, when I play on other people equipment they are usually shocked at how fast I can create a complex 10 layer beat. Thats because I can compose a 64 person orchestra so a 10 track beat isn't a big deal.

So if any of you have any music question or constant issues that come up in your production let me know so I know if I should create the blog for one thing and also what content I should go over. Or I might test the idea and only do it as post on here for a while.

p.s. Musical questions...A big question I get is how to make your own synth....thats different, I am talking about creating the actual piece.
