NEXUS for dance stuff & COLOSSUS for real instrument music but it is very ram intensive & V-Stations got some great dance sounds & banks

It's kind of hard to say which is "best" because everyone will have different tastes.

Seems like you want a general workstation with good sounds and instruments.

Like others have said, Nexus is good, Hypersonic, Sampletank, VI one, etc...

I also like Kontakt 3 (now kontakt 4 just came out) as you can keep expanding it.

It's a lot of VST Instrumentsthat are good, but the VST's that has the best quality sounds are EASTWEST Quantum Leap anything...Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs, Leap Pianos,Fab Four, RA and man it's plenty more. Trust me when you hear the quality you'll be amazed. It's serious software

Yo, Synth1 ,, google that up, its a free VST, but dont get discouraged because its free,, it sounds pretty good for a free vst, and there are alot of patch DL's you can find for it, since its pretty popular, ppl are makin new sounds with this synth everyday
