Default Strange question about Reeverb - 14-09-2007, 03:24 AM

Firstly Im not too sure exactly wot reeverb is, but I understand how to use it..

But my problem is, I've sampled some piano from a song, and with that piano is drums, and thats fine coz I have jus layered my drums over....but the drums in the original sample have alot of reeverb, too much for my preference, so my drums sound like they have too much reeverb...and I was just wondering if theres anyway I can tone down the reeverb on the original drums?:001_unsure:

I'm not sure how or if you can really remove reverb

Its not really removing but if you lower the decay on it and make the sustain higher by a few ms its like the sound is actually kinda fading out. Thats usually what I would do.

make sure you eq'ed ur sample to get rid of certain frequencies where reverb tends to accumulate (i.e. the low and high ends *below 80hz and above 17k Hz*)
