Thread: Should I change my producer alias to my singer/songwriter alias?

Default Should I change my producer alias to my singer/songwriter alias?

You probably know I'm a producer if you've heard some of my stuff in the homemade beats section. But I'm also a singer/songwriter and I've called myself Kriss Liss since 8 years ago when I first started singing and writing songs. But about four years ago when I got into producing, I signed up on soundclick with the alias "GizmoBeatz" and had thousands of downloads and success. So I'm split: Some people know me as Kriss Liss; some know me as GizmoBeatz. I was told by someone that I should start going by Kriss Liss as a producer because if I blow up as a artist/songwriter then people would be willing to pay more money when I sell them beats. I agree, but what should I do about my soundclick page? If I start selling beats as Kriss Liss, there might be fans still looking for "GizmoBeatz" and she won't be there. How do I make a smooth transition? Should I make the transition at all? I need help CP fam, haha!

I would say go by Kriss Liss and have it be like produced by Kriss Liss for Gizmo Beats

Oh okay. So when people purchase a beat from me, have them say (Prod. by Kriss Liss for GizmoBeatz)?

I had a similar dilemma, I now do it the way A. Woods suggested.
