Default Sequencing rhythm in instruments in the FL piano roll

This shit is hard as hell for me, I cant seem to find any sort of rhythm with this Pencil tool, does anyone know of a way I can get a feel for it more? or is this just one of those reasons I should cop a key board?

Just draw in symmetric notes and patterns of the piano roll grid, then get adventurous and add a couple of notes higher or lower. If you don't like just simply erase the ones you don't like. If it doesn't sound in one key then its not just keep doing that until it sounds right. You can learn eventually from that because you get used to it then start to know what to expect when you drop a note somewhere.

You got to get a midi keyboard to control FL Studio because drawing that shit is annoying and takes too much time.

its not that hard it just takes some getting use to, the problem with midi is unless you have a decent sound card there is a fair bit of latency, especially with large vst's
