I don't really know where to post this, so if is the wrong place sorry, but I was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the bass from my strings when I put them into lower pitches. It would help out so damn much...thanks.

If you use FL just go in to the mixer and mess with the eq on the left side. http://www.zikinf.com/logiciels/gfx/...s/p_Mixer2.gif

Mess with the line in the bottom right. Bass is always on the left side of the smaller box so use the left slider to move it down. You could get better results when u use the mouse and do it manually. Thats something every producer needs to know how to use. Also you can go to the vsts and select parametric EQ and move the slider all the way to the left all the way down the second slider from the first can be used to take out bass as well it depends on how much there is. Look 23 seconds into this clip and it will show you what the EQ looks like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=http:...?v=mVQH2cchLIc

Yeah thats because your playing in a low octave, which is mainly bass below 250Hz.
Try removing the bass completely from 0-60Hz, but reduce it a lil bit from 60-250Hz.
The strings will still have some bass in em, but wont be muddy and too bassy.
Use an EQ, and boost the 12,000HZ (12Khz) to get a cleaner sound from ur strings.

    60-250Hz__________250-2000Hz (or somethin like that)__________Above 2000Hz
    Bass___________________Mid range______________________________High
