Default Recording on FL and Hooking up otha equipment

Now my question is, can you record or has anyone recorded their lyrics to Fruity loops. I know there is some space at the bottom of the playlist screen in FL, but I never really used it besides adding my own signature sounds to it. Also is there a way that I can hook up my Serrato to FL?

You can record vocals directly into FL (forgot because I never use it) but I wouldn't recommend it. It may seem easier, but you are better off recording with a program such as Sound Forge, exporting the vocals into a .WAV, and importing that .WAV into FL.

In my opinion SoundForge is better for pure recording purposes as Acid is intended for mixing and sequencing. The newest version of SoundForge is 9.0c and it is available here:

Yea you can record in FL by going to the mixer in FL and right clicking the icon all the way at the bottom of a mixer insert or the master that looks like a floppy disk. When you left click on it that will open up a browser window for you to choose where you want it saved at. When your finished, click on song and press record. Once it starts playing it should be a recording at the bottom. Like Justin said it isn't recommended tho because FL just has to many drops and random cpu spikes. It really depends how much effects you use in a project tho.

I only use to record the hooks in my song then send everything over to Sonar 7 to put in the main vocals
