    FL can't record audio.
U need Cubase, Sonar or Logic if u on Mac.
U also need a soundcard or audio interface.

You just need a midi interface, but you don't get the keyboard's sounds "into" the computer, you record the keyboard's audio outputs, the sequencer just tells it what notes to play on what patch and when. Any software sequencer should have full midi sequencing support.

^ dude's sayin' it right, you need a MIDI interface, but what FL will record is the MIDI data, MIDI isn't sound, it'll just tell the program which keys on the keyboard to hit, to record audio you'll have to run it through a mixer into Cubase(just an example)

YOU CAN RECORD AUDIO INTO FL

If you have an audio interface, you CAN record the audio from the motif into FL. Make sure your audio inputs/outputs are correctly set up from the motif to your interface. And make sure your audio interface is correctly set up to your PC.

First, go to 'INSERT CHANNEL' and select an 'AUDIO CLIP' channel. Then in FL, go to your MIXER (F9 key) and select an unused channel (DO NOT USE THE MASTER CHANNEL). On the BOTTOM LEFT of your mixer window you'll see the 'IN' setting (A BLACK BOX NEXT TO IT SHOULD SAY 'none'). Click on 'none' and set it to your audio interface (mine says mobilepre usb analog in). On the right of your 'IN' setting is your 'OUT' setting (A BLACK BOX NEXT TO IT SHOULD SAY 'master'). Leave this setting as is. Now notice how every channel in the mixer window has a 'floppy disk-looking' icon at the bottom. Click on the icon of the unused channel you selected and you will be prompted to save what you are about to record. Name the file (eg., piano chords1) and save it in the folder you want. Now press record (R key), play your notes, and press stop when done. If you look at your playlist (F5 key), now there should be a wave of what you recorded on the bottom. You can cut and edit in this section, similar to Cubase; ProTools; etc.

Cubase is a better quality recording environment. There's nothing wrong with using fl if thats what you prefer.
