I used to use FL on a regular but once I sampled :D Reason I never really turned back. The sound quality of the samples that come with Reason [a shhh load of'em] is top quality. Ya know, the synths [Malstrom and SubTractor], etc. I have a TON more refills than the 2 that come with Reason. All this with close to 0 CPU usage, obviously because there's no VST's. ReDrum I like a whole lot. For me its mostly the sample quality on Reason without having to go around finding VST's to load up in FL. I do ReWire Reason with FL once and a while though just for whatever.

FL. Only because I don't get it well enough to make a good beat. I screwed with reason for like a month and I must be slow since I was still like???
And I'm sorry but I have so many VSTs that if there's no vst support, then sorry.

I agree with him, the sounds on Reason aren't that good, but sampling with it is a lot better than FL. Reason is a bit more complex so I think that's why FL gets used more, that and the VSTs. I prefer Reason overall, though...

I picked FL just because that's the only thing I've used.

But man, it don't matter what the fuck you use. Just who's behind the fucking boards, nah mean?

Because FL is rather simplistic, you'll have to go out of your way to do more complex things. But you can still make as good of a beat on there as you could on Reason. People just can't be lazy and settle. FL's simplicity fools people into thinking they're making hot shit, when they ain't. You gotta take the time out to put extra touches on the shit. You gotta take the time out to find out all the shit that FL can actually do.

I don't diss nobody for what they use. Just as long as the finished product is dope, who gives a fuck?

I used them both I had reason one time before and I was like??? because it was very different from what I have seen, I seen alot of programs like FL in the past, UP06 really introduced me to it the one at the top of the thread. I actually made something decent i guess that comes from experience on other programs.

I used ableton, computer muzys and mad other stuff ppl don't know of. Those are also decent similar programs. Computer muzys was free in a computer music magazine that was like my first program ever then came FL. I'm so used FL now because that's what I been on since like 12 or 13 im 18 now. Thinking back to when i didn't know how 2 make hip hop beats and count bars, that came a long way. Reason is easier to learn if you watch tutorials or have someone show you, start experimenting that's how i learned.

    ??? ???

Sike lol. Reason ain't much different...you got the piano roll, you got the Redrum for the beat. Same as in FL just looks different. When I say ain't much different I mean in those terms. If you want Reason quality string, flute, etc. samples, cop that Sampletank 2 vst for FL. I don't care I'll settle down and use one program, nothin wrong wit that. I've settled into Reason mostly but as a newcomer of course there was FL in the beginning. Um like 4 years ago...
    I hit up FL occasionally.

Yo I used to mess with Fruity but now Im a Reason convert, but yeah like Agent Orange said it dont really matter wotchu use, its the final product dat matters, I know mad little rich kids wid there mpcs, protools, and m boxes and shit and they couldnt make a hot track if they life depended on it.....

I'm a Reason user here, reguardless of no VSTi's (which I really got to get my head around ReWire to get it back) I love the sequencer and sounds that Reason is able to give to me. But as Agent Orange said, doesn't matter what you use as long as you make something that sounds good.

Both. I used to use just reason, till i was introduced to FL now i do all my sequencing in FL and go to reason for synths sounds or if i want some extra samples. No VST support doesn't hurt. thats why they have Rewire.

still would prefer an MPC over software for drums and samples
