they are both very dope programs...

i used fruity from 99 to the beginning of this year(feb)...i was the shit on fruity wit samples but clicking the notes in just wasnt workin for me...i had copped a midi controller but it sucked because i aint have all them VSTs and shit(comp was too slow)...

my dude had copped reason and a controller and i was fuckin wit it at his house...i fell in love...i burned it off him and copped myself a keystation 49 and mpd...

its just soooooooooooooooo much easier and better to come up wit melodies and my sample game is STILL on point...

its actually not even close to reason in sequencer quality. but you have to know your reason really well to set the quantizing up to your comfort level.

its kinda silly to compare the two. because they are nothing alike. Reason is a closed environment and fl is a vst host/soundfont/sample player. I will say that if your soundcard is strong enough, you should try using fl and cubase. i have cubase 4 and when i'm doing tracks w/o samples, fl doesn't come close.

I use reason and its a good beat program to use. For starters and for experience beat makers would have more fun using Reason than Fruity Loops.

Personally, i'm more with FL because Reason was too complex. But I'm gonna give reason another shot.

anybody that picked fl studio should jump off the bridge asap. even do i use fl studio more because i find new vsts everyday, reason is 100% better. im saying that because its more easier to use esecially with hardware hooked up. the reason soundbanks billion % better, with the only thing lacking for reason is the ability to support vst plug-ins. lf studios is still hot to use, i just don't like how u have to manually put everything into the mixer urself instead of the sampler automatically going itself after loading. Im more use to fl, my songs hit harder, but even with that being said, reason still tops it off.

I used FL for a while, but now use only LMMS since I don't have much space in the computer with Windows.. It's an open source software. Whatever works, I guess.
