Newbie Help

Besides a program like fruity loops and a keyboard what other kinds of hardware do you need to become a producer. not hardware like computer software type stuff but like the other things that i would need to buy and shit. ha its hard to explain. I wanna start gettin into it and im wondering what i would need not completly using fruity loops. I' dont really know the terms and stuff so if you could kinda dumb it down. id appreciate the help.

really...at this point in my producing...fruity loops has so much more to offer than i thought before...once you get good with it, it really becomes the ultimate program. u can be a producer with just that...some good sounds and a midi keyboard. anything else is luxury to me

All of my shit that I've done has been completely with Fruity Loops and a few other softwares and stuff downloaded from here.

But if you wanna get some real hardware, you better be ready to drop some REAL dollars. The newest MPC costs around $3000. Then if you want to create a studio setting for yourself, you better have maaaaad loot. You gotta get special speakers, maybe a microphone, some instruments if you play any. Maybe a turntable or something.

You don't need all that shit to produce though man. I've said it before in other threads and I'll say it again.......It doesn't matter what you're working with, it's who's behind the boards that really matters. Just get you a comp, and maybe a decent keyboard and you'll be straight for a while. Then once you get your money up, then you can start scooping up the more higher end shit.

well i found an MPC for about 300 dollars
does that mean its junk

it had to be a typo lol maybe he meant 3000? mpc's are expensive man there is NO way it can be 300$. Used mpc's cost or than that...and yes, it does look cool...but your better off gettin a usb trigger finger or something to connect to your software, mpc's have all that importing and exporting and for what? basicly fl in a box.
