Default Need some help on some techs.

sup. i've been producing music for about 2 years now, but theres a few techniques i always wanted to learn but i never figured out, maybe somebody on here knows the trick?
like how do people get that old-ish vinyl record feel to their tracks, like in the vocals, beats and etc.? i dont know if i'm explaining it right.. but it makes the song sound old like it was playing on an old vinyl record. like in this song YouTube - Nujabes Feather the piano has that certain atmosphere to it that makes it stand out...

another trick i was wondering if anyone knew is that vocal effect T-pain uses in some of his songs that make his voice sound a little "mechanical" if you know what i mean? argh i'm not good at explaining but i hope someone could help me out -___-

well.. i guess thats it. thanks in advanced

For vinyl sound u should use Izotope's products.
    Izotope Vinyl, Trash & Ozone.
I will try to upload these for everyone.
U can also cut off the high frequencies, and boost the lows and mids to get a muddy, old sound.
