How do u hook up ya midi keyboard to fl...

I hooked it up to reason just fine...
i don't need to use tha "computer" keyboard
now tht i got a midi keyboard na mean...

Just install the drivers n thangs then in FL go to options> midi settings and look at the spot that says input your keyboard should be right there jus click it then enable. Watch how easier it is now.

is there any way to adjust the latency settings? i hooked up my keyboard to the computer and everything works good but theres a delay.

^^^No problem

Latency... In FL you gotta go into Options> Audio settings and lower the buffer, Thats gonna make it skipp a lil more but thats the only way. I hate that because alot of these Vsts use a lot of cpu power and when it gets real high shyt starts skippin. Thats mainly why i started messin with reason it doesnt have that latency problem @ all.

O yea and if you have asio then mess with that. You can find that at the same place jus look in the output and see if it says asio, If you dont theres a asio for all thing you can install from the site. That will improve the latency by alot

thanks i'll try that. my sound card is good and i got the midi going through m-audio firewire interface so i'm positive it's just FL messin up. thanks again.

asio4all will replace ur current soundcard option with this and that will take care of ur latency problem

some more ram would help too, and if you're usin multipul vsts that can cause a problem. if i'm usin more than one vst paste the one i need to another pattern export that to wave delete the vst and bring it back in as a sample
