Default I hate when people describe his or her beat as a (insert famous rapper here) beat..

Wiz Khalifa type beat.. Drake type beat.. A$AP type beat...

In my opinion, if you Wiz Khalifa isn't rapping on your beat, then it's not a Wiz Khalifa type beat. Besides, I don't want to associate my music with someone unless they want it to be associated with them.

Besides, I don't want a 'Drake' sound, or a 'Birdman' sound. I want my beats to be a 'Kronus' type beat.

It just kind of annoys me. Thoughts?

Just to be honest fam its a marketing strategy.

People are looking for their type of beats.
So if you make a beat and it sounds like they would get on it you state it.
I feel your point still its sometimes too much.
Not to mention the fact that sometimes the rapper would never touch the beat.
That is the only thing that makes me pissed off.
I see rick ross type beat and it sounds like a Lil B track or somehting.

Yeah, like DirtyScopeBeatz said it's just a marketing technique.

When artists are searching for beats they'll maybe search for "Lil Wayne type beat" or "Lil Wayne beats" if they describe themselves (or others have) as that famous artist.
