I got a problem...

I need a tip on how to make hooks on a beat... I can never seem to get it right... Should I drop some drums durin' it? or switch the pitch of the synths... lolz help :)

There is no set 'thing' but try stacking instruments or dropping drums or maybe compressing and adding some effects to distinguish it.

you can drop many ways...i kno when i make beatz i do one of two things...i ethier have all of the melodies lead up to tha hook and then in tha hook they all play together nice n hard...or the verses will be hard and tha hook will be less this n that...like takin out hihats or somethin. you jus gonna have to mess with it

thats pretty good advice, the only thing i would add is take the last bar and add drum rolls, or reverse symbol.. then begining of hook add a symbol or something that hits

^^ like he said lol a drop can come many ways..once u get better at producing you'll get more creative with it

There really is no "right" way to drop a hook. You just have to figure out what style fits you best.

Me personally, my hi-hats get faster, drums are a little faster maybe. Normally I'll have another instrument come in that's not in the verses. Maybe like some horns or strings or something. Try changing the melody of your previous instruments too.

But it pretty much all comes with experience. Just keep fucking with it.
