Intros 4 or 8 bars
Verses 16 Bars
Hooks usually 4 bars sometimes 8
Outro 2 or 4 bars or I just stop the song there.

It all depends on what kind of song it is far as hip hop or r&b for me. The format I go by is the most common but I do it differently sometimes.

Some ppl write the songs first and hear the beat after and they need extra bars or less. Its common for a r&b singer to want a extra 2 or 4 bars for a bridge.

Why count how many seconds your chorus and verses are? It could easily change up depending on the bpm.

There's no format you have to stick to.
Do whatever you want.

I switch it up so no 2 beats have the same arrangement.
