can someone give me some tips?

how long u been producin? took me a year and half to get pretty good.

A lot of your work just doesnt blend. You gotta have a good ear for music. Your just throwing in random sounds. You gotta be symetrical for your shit. You can't have a fast tempo beat for a deep dark song.. well not always true.

You really don't have a steady drum beat. Or at times you wont have a drum beat at all. This is the backbone of a beat.
How to build a drum beat on fruity loops

Start simple wit things. Don't just throw shit in and expect it to work. Start with a simple drum beat.. then start thinkin of simple melodies that come in your head.. Channel presets has some nice sounds for melodies.

When making a beat...always start by having the melody in mind...then find the tempo by laying the snares or claps down first. laying down the melody after that will be simple as long as itz in your head. Lil Rogue is riight tho...i been producin bout a year an im jus now getting good. so jus keep at it

What you should do is juss listen, even study some beats n find some structure 2a work off of. Cuz your ish lacks structure.

I dunno... if you can, take a simple music class or sumthin. I guess I had it easy cuz I was in band for the past 3 years, in middle school. Sumthin that simple might be the difference...

(but I ain't tellin you 2a join a band... haha)

Something that has been helping me is remaking beats that my favorite producers made. It helps you understand the structure of how a song should look when you're looking at it in whatever program you use, and how it should sound. Plus since they are your favorite producers, a little bit of their style will naturally leak into you music as well so it's a good place to start. I've found that you just go with what feels right. Everybody's style is different, sometimes I lay down my drums first then add the melody, sometimes I lay down the melody--then the drums (although this is something I myself am still trying to master, I'm still not that great at composing.) You just got to find what you are comfortable with.

Here's a site with a bunch of good video tutorials on FL Studio watch them and you'll probably learn a thing or two I know I've found them helpful.

Man forget them tutorials. Get hands on wit it, like I did. I been at it for a few years off and on. But my first beats were all outta control like urs too. I was tryna fit every sound that sounded sick into 1 beat. Till 1 of my homies hooked me up wit a few templates (.flp zipped pack) that showed me up close how a beat supposed to look in FL. If you want, I'll compose a quick lil beat and send it to you with all the sounds and shit so you can open it up in FL and play wit it.

It will help, I guaruntee. Then once you get the hang of it, you will start tryin some different shit.
