Its very underrated. But its a fucking cpu hog too. I only use it in cubase tracks, its too much for my FLStudio sequencer(i like to stack the strings and brass quite a bit sometimes).
Here's a couple VST's i'd recommend.
Rob Papen Blue:Underrated synth that is great for southern crunk tracks.
Korg Legacy Collection:not the friendliest piece to your cpu, but worth it. The MS-20 in it brings some of the sickest bass you'd ever want to hear and the legacy is terrific.
NI Guitar Combos:You can take the cheesiest guitar on earth and give it life with this amp effect plugin.
Absynth 3: You may not use it on every track. but when you do it shows its worth.
A few i dont like myself.
Amplitude: just average effects IMO. so so.
Garritan big band: not worth the space it takes up.
EastWest Orchestra: Same as above.
BigTick Rhino: The most unused program on my comp.
