didn't use Reason, that's why i can say nuttin' about it, but i know what' s FL an' how to make a beat there FL is a good soft, if u know how to do things right there, u won't have any problem with beatmaking.

born and raise on fl studio..

tried out reason for a second, and realized that the time i would be taking relearning my workstation could be used to make good product on a set-up i already know the ins and outs of.

I choose rewire. because I like the ease of access with FL but don't like the quality all that much. reason has better quality but hate the mod racks but isn't memory draining like FL can be with vsts. so i'm pretty indifferent about the 2. I can't choose between the two because they are both capable of different things. so rewire is the best way to go if you want quality as well as ease of access. and the cool thing about rewire you don't really have to know the ins and outs of reason all you do is load up a mod rack with all the effects and shit you want and do everything else in FL.

Just use Recycle to chop your sounds.....

Honestly to each they own ...Nothing better then the other, It's all about what your comfortable with , and each has it's ups and downs...

I'm a reason guy, I've invested far too much time into learning it you can never learn enough because the possibilities are endless...I don't think I would switch based on those facts.

FL studio is very user friendly. Reason, not as much. Throw some VSTi's in FL, watch some tutorial videos, and your ready to start creating. Reason, in my opinion, takes longer to get comfortable with.

It's really just an opinion of user preference and what each person is use to and comfortable with. If someone says you can't use FL professionally they are wrong unless of course you are limited to fruity plugins only.

I Use Both. Reason For The Instruments. I Make my loops then export and use them in
Fl Studio for the Sequencer, Drum Loops, and A little Mastering.

Yo FL and reason should have been the same program I think. The interface in reason sucks but the sounds and what you can do in reason are crazy so I would have to say you need both programs, FL studio for the interface and sequencing and reason for the sounds and plug ins Rewire all day peace.
