Few Small Questions

hey what's up everybody, like most people here, i'm new to the "production" scene and trying to learn the ins and outs of basic things, but i have a few questions

how do you hide sounds away in those little boxes? well not hide it, but put it to the side, you know what i mean

2) i want to learn about EQ and 3D mastering...i saw a topic on EQ, but the video seemed to be down, so does anybody have a good place? i hear some peoples beats on software and they sound so crisp so that's something that i guess needs to be known...i hear it can be a little complicated but i have NO IDEA whatsoever so anything would help me out with that

3) i know there's a lot of vst topics and all that, i have a good idea with all that, but what do you reccomend most for drums? whether it's the hard hitting bass like in techno songs like sandstorms, or the gritty bang beats like rza...i like a lot of different styles and know there's endless amounts of drums, but yeah


alright if somebody answers those, than thanks!!! great site btw, very helpful, i remember i tried getting into beats years ago but i said fuck it so quick and was impatient, not knowing that if you know certain things you can surprise yourself at what you know and all that but i love learning about anything music related now and have the patience so i'm excited
