Thread: Drum Samples

    Default Drum Samples

Okay Ive Been "Producing" beats now for a while and have to say im not happy with any of my drum sounds, whether I chop them myself from records or rip them from sample packs im just not getting the sound im looking for. Is there a process im missing? All i want is some old school drums with that thumping bass and crisp snares without background noise from records that seem to ruin the individual hits. Im looking for that oldschool sound like RZA, Premo, Or Necro.

pretty much, old skool or new skool samples... its not where ur samples are.. its ur mixin dat counts... if u listen 2 wayne's let the beat build.. do u hear those snare and kick samples?? they suck.. but after being professionally mixed.. its all worth it... so.. work on ur mixing of the samples individualy
