*Curious* question For a all Producers

Do any of you producers spit over your own beats. U know keep the ones you really like for your self just because? or Do you try to sell all your beats?

Yeah I keep some that I want to either release later, or just keep em 2 myself.
I might write a couple of hooks or verses for the beat, then just wait for the right artist to come along.

I might do that sometimes but usually I don't let it get released and end up selling it when Im low on beats. I kinda got out of that habit tho because I know I can always make another just as good or better than the last, you only get better.

Sometimes I do the hook or a verse... but only if its part of the creative process while im making the beat. The only time i'll keep a beat to myself is if I write a whole track to it... wich hasnt happend yet.

yeah i hear what all u guys are sayin, i feel like i can rip almost any beat i make . but u rarely see that , like another havoc or kanye. does anyone have a track they produced and wrote.

yea mayne...when i make beatz i already got a hook in my head so when i sell the beat if tha artist is having trouble then i already gotta hook ready to throw on em....somtimes i even write verses so an artist can take lines from em to help his flow out....itz kinda like ghost writing....if u try that i promise u'll got more sells on yo beats too,

I will make a beat with a particular feel in mind...and den off dat feel i will somewhat spit a lil sumthin to it in my head...u know how dey say if u cant flow over ur own beat nobody else can?...dats how i handle it...but i aint no rapper so i would rather just sell my beats off

I sometimes will be making a track and think of something slick to say but i would always sell a track over rapping on it

I spit over alot of my beats...mostly because i was rappin b4 i started makin beats...but sometimes ill make a beat with the intentions of spittin over it an it never gets used, or its "somehow" gets in the hands of one of my crew members

I keep most of my self composed ones, if they're good enough, then just try an sell sampled beats mainly

i dont rap so i dont, but ill have a rapper rap on it, peace
