Default Better overall vocal quality tips.. Help!! - 12-07-2010, 02:12 AM

I need some tips from other producers on how to make vocals sound more.."firm"

they sound crystal clear in the studio after the mix down

but as soon az i take it to the car they sound really light and thin (still ok quality tho)

i got the hardware to hear at full potential when mixing.

I know some of yall know some ways to help this out!!

So help a jacc out!

use the waves ssl channel strip, compressor and eq... with 10%studio reverb and when you record do doubles and triples for all of your verses and hooks then right before the mixdown add a stereo enhancer to all of the lead vocals...

a condenser mic is the best thing to use right off the bat as far as hardware. I cant really recommend one though. . .

when it comes to a mic... the more money you spend, the better the quality is.
