its no different between them and cubase 4 has more options IMO. To me unless you got pro tools HD, you're not running industry standard as they try to say sometimes. But it really doesnt matter in the long run as long as you know what you're doing, and there lies the real key.
Oh and i agree that adobe audition is waaayyy behind in the sequencer department(editing is its focus by far) and i wouldnt record on it myself. But anybody saying the "sound quality" is way better on anything again doesnt know what they are talking about. Either you know how to mix the sound or you dont. But no DAW is going to put you further ahead than any professional using something else. I say grab Pro tools, Nuendo, Cubase 4, or Sonar 6. If you got the money, then buy Pro tools HD and Cubase 4 together. Because nothing comes close to the amount of recording and production options you have on Cubase, but Pro Tools is still a strong player in the DAW community and the main format to exchange files on still. Cubase is gaining ground, but not there yet.
