Best programs for making beats?

Just wondering what's the best and easiest program for making beats? I'm currently using Cool Edit Pro 2.0 but I wanna see what the other/better programs are like.

you aient gon be makin any beatz on cool edit lol go get fl or reason..those are tha only 2 programs i use

there is Acid Pro by Sony, which is quite easy to use for a newcomer, i currently use the v.5 but they've already released the v6.0. You can check out Cubase from Steinberg too...

FL Studio, Witout A Doubt, ACID is good too

acid is only good for chopping samples to me...jus fuck with fl

That's what most of the people think but it's wrong, im signed in a label as the principal producer and i fully produce with acid, it's compatible with any vsti's, for me it's a mega grove box but you need to go further in the soft, i think it's better than fl because more accurate... But it's only my opinion! (BTW if anybody got questions about it hit me pm or create a topic i'll answer as much as i can, cause i use it since the first version. )

well tha vsts are good but jus mixing tha whole track down as a beat seems easier to me in fl...but i get what your saying

if u want tha best program but hardest to work wit then try reason or cubase.if u want a simple but effective program pick fruity loops.

the most user friendly is FL Studio. but i dont recommend it for newcomers who don't know how to play shit. it will lie to those people about their talent level.


the best sequencer out there is cubase. doing tracks in there come out pretty good once you learn it. its sequencers quantitize is the best you can get. I'm about to learn ableton live. dont know if i'll like it though.

acid for choppin samples no doubt, and FL is the best!!!

cool edit pro for choppin and master and fl for the rest that should get ya goin
