    Default Basslines in Sampled beats

I know most of the peoples on this forum compose thier shit but I'm struggling to make decent basslines to my sampled beats....I always end up just using a low pass filter. Any advice on this?

well one thing that i do is that i turn all the sounds off except for the sample and the bass then i just try and ear it and see what sounds good . keep playing with it and you'll eventually find a good sound .

I usually replay the bassline with a similar bass sound. Are you could use a channel effect on the sample by putting it in a high shelf free filter and turning the bass volume in that channel all the way up.that brings out the drums and bass more in the sample

either find a bassline to sample or layer it & make it hit with the kick

same here that's pretty much all u can do if u don't play piano or don't have that perfect pitch capability which to me is like having super powers when u do music.. just keep playin around with what sounds good and try to match the sample bassline as much as possible or if u can afford it or know a friend who plays piano have em come in and play it for you I've had to do that a few times
