Default Basic Home Studio Setup - 02-08-2008, 06:35 AM

Sup guys, I'll make it short and quick.

I'm looking to get a decent home studio under a grand. A sequencer, audio interface, a mic, and a MIDI keyboard. Just enough to get me going with music production.

I've toyed around with FL Studio off an on for a couple months now and honestly, I don't like it. Plus I would like something a bit more professional standard, such as Cubase.

Basically my question is, what would be the best combination or package that I can purchase that will give a good start? Like I stated earlier, I would like a sequencer, preferably Cubase, an audio interface, a mic, and a decent MIDI keyboard.

I've tried to read guides and such but quite frankly, they never get down to the bottom of my questions and I would like read a producer's stand point.

Thank you, greatly appreciated.

Have you read Tweaks guide?

Tweak's Guide to the Home and Project Studio

If not I seriously suggest that you do.

Haha. Thread's kinda old, I figured out what I want to get lol! Thanks anyway.

But yes, I read through the guide and to be honest, I didn't help me much. I don't know, I learn better when I ask people for their opinions, and then formulate my own.
