another (!) FL question: 'waiting for input' when I hit play, Reason 3 delay issues?

OK I am really getting serious now with using FL. But, when I hit play to listen, the box shows ... (3 dots) instead of the play/pause symbols, the status box says waiting for input(when I roll off play and roll back on it the box says play/pause space) and it won't play. But I can use the practice keyboard thingy in the sample options.

And in reason I have major delay issues. Redrum doesn't trigger for a couple steps and my key presses don't register for a few seconds. When I play it does the same thing. BUT BUT BUT the demo song doesn't have this delay.

HELP!!

in reason i think its called latency; i got the same problem ...
u can rewire reason into fl, this will eliminate the problem ...

as for reason...i have no idea why there is a delay..i never had one, first make sure theres no delay effects on your redrum(there shouldnt thad b obvious) but about latency...go to edit: prefrences and go here:



and i dont kno if ur still starting w/ a demo song or not but if u are go to here and put empty rack:



and for fruity loops tha reason y itz waiting is for a midi type input device to start playin...thas for if u want it to start recording right when u start playin tha melody or w/e..like on a midi keyboard..so go to tha red arrow thing and uncheck that box
