First things first I agree with the statement above. Not that you have to make it faster for someone to rap on it but it would make the beat so much more entertaining and less monotonous. Second thing is this: The beat just has no soul, its all sample and very little heart. You should work on your original instrumentation and then your sample production. Just my opinion and fee free to take it or leave it.

Still though I give you that almighty "A" for effort.

Don't have to speed it up but should have some strong drums, snares, high hats etc to it to make it know it is a hip hop beat with your own bassline over it or at least a filtered bassline. Don't have to overproduce it can always just get away with it being a sample and drums just needs some life to it. This sample could make for a perfect houston hip hop beat if done right with it being slow like that or a nice boom bap joint if sped up if done right.

Yes! When you want to get better at anything the mind is the first place to begin. First start by educating yourself in ever aspect of music you possibly can. You will be shocked and amazed how much it will open your eyes. Another tip for you fam is never stop studying that keeps your creative mind going all the time.

Follow me on twitter @DirtyScopeBeatz if you want to tips and tricks. I post a lot about this kind of stuff.

Give your drums a lil more life.... Listen to some of the stuff Juicy j raps to and try to focus in on the percussion and how it changes...... But sound selection was good and the sample is hard. Try the "trap" or "sledgren" tutorials on youtube that should get you a good start.
