Hip Hop Is Dead. Been a long time since I can play a CD from beginning to end and not have to skip any track. I dare say that it could be a 5 mic album. Though 5 mics from the Source don't really mean as much as it used to.

It's too early to tell, but i think Hip Hop Is Dead is gonna be classic. It has dope tracks start to finish (except for blunt ashes, for some reason i cant fuck with it), and most songs have a meaning or message. All the guest spots were dope, even Kanye managed to not annoy me.

Kingdom Come on the other hand was somewhat forgettable. There were really only 2 or 3 standout tracks, mainly due to production. The guest spots were all pretty weak imo besides Chrisette Michelle.


Oh yeah, and I know a 5 mic rating isnt "credible" anymore cause of that Lil Kim album, but look at it like this, what else doesnt belong on that 5 mic list? I dont think one album other than that should be off that list, so whats the big deal? I mean they are under new ownership now too.

idk i guess maybe the tempo is too slow. no diss to the track i just cant really listen to it, maybe it'll grow on me eventually

Hip Hop Is Dead gets my vote. As innaspace said, Kingdom Come only had a couple songs that stood out, mostly because of the production.

I liked the collab's on H.H.I.D also, especially Black Republican. The entire album was just good. I'd recommend it to anybody.
