now forget the fact that payola is almost done with now, but look at the past
payola got people used to the wack shit, especially the younger people who dont have a sense of "real hip hop", they just know what they hear and whats popular. they got people used to the wack shit, then eventually payola doesnt even have to exist, cause the DJ's are gonna play wack shit anyway.
the DJ's killed hip hop, i completely agree with nas on that. DJ's have a duty to play what is hot on the streets, not what they get paid to play.
