I said no...though HELL NO, is a bit strong. Mine is just a regular no and here's why:

First let me define what I think of as "ready for the game": That means ready to put out an album, be an artist at the forefront.


Are you ready to get signed? Sure. But I think if you got a deal that you would likely end up spending time on the backburning, and be doing a lot of artist development.

Good news is, every new song I hear is better than the last it seems, at least lyrically, and your flow is getting better. When I first heard your shit, I didn't think you rode the beat very well, but you've improved. One area I'd say still needs improving is that you sound to monotonous with your voice, and I don't hear much emotion or any inflection in anything. As a rapper, your voice is your instrument so play around with it, make it do different things.


Now to take it to a different aspect of the game. What's your marketing angle? How would you market yourself, what would be your niche in the game? Truth is, most artists are big because of their marketing. 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross.

Do you see yourself as marketable? I personally don't see myself as marketable at this point in my career, so despite encouragement I'm holding off on rapping.


You hit up a real recording studio or someplace that has some decent equipment and have your shit mixed and let me hear it. Sometimes that can make a big difference in whether or not someone sounds wack or hot, so I'd like to hear something of higher recording quality and judge further.


But as long as you don't ask me to meet you at the mall or do some song about food, I got respect.

As far as me sounding like a head at a label that dicks people: I think you saying that is an excuse. If you're going independent good (that's the way you should go, more control, more money) but you can't just ignore the shit on the radio and all these people that ARE selling. You have to acknowledge that it's there, because it is, and figure out how to exploit it successful to make money. That's not saying dumb your shit down and let your chain hang low or whatever. But you have to have an awareness of it and acknowledge that it's there...



Oh and about you recording at home and then taking it to the studio...that's a good way to do it, then you don't end up wasting money, smart moves. Can't wait to hear some of it.

And I feel you 100% on the studio thing. Do as much as you can OUTSIDE the studio and save lots of MONEY.
