    Default Would anyone...

be willing to try netflix? I need friends on my queue lol...

here are some things about the service they offer....

(Oh... there's a two week free trial, no commitment... try it for two weeks if you dont like it, just cancel...)

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is the world's largest online DVD movie rental service, offering more than 4 million members access to 55,000 titles. Our appeal and success are built on providing the most expansive selection of DVDs; an easy way to choose movies; and fast, free delivery.

Members have the choice of nine subscription plans, starting at $9.99 per month for unlimited rentals with one DVD out at a time. There are no due dates, no late fees and no shipping fees. Members enjoy fast and free delivery: we reach more than 90 percent of our members with generally one business-day delivery and provide free, prepaid return envelopes. With no commitments, members can cancel anytime. Our "no late fees, no due dates" online movie rental model has eliminated the hassle involved in choosing, renting and returning movies

New members can try Netflix for free by visiting netflix.com.

    Largest Selection of DVDs
Our selection -- far superior to what the largest movie-rental stores can offer -- helps ensure that members find everything from the latest big Hollywood releases to hard-to-locate documentaries, independent films, as well as TV shows and how-to videos. From Yoda to yoga, Netflix has it.

    Better Movie Choices
We make it easier for members to find and discover movies they'll enjoy. When members rate movies, Netflix customizes its site based on a member's movie taste, which makes our 55,000 titles more relevant and accessible to each member. On average, members rent more than 85 percent of Netflix's movie titles each quarter, proving the efficiency with which the company recommends films.

    Fast and Free Delivery
Members enjoy free shipping both ways. More than 90 percent of our members receive their movies with generally one-day service. Netflix operates 37 shipping centers throughout the United States - key to providing overnight delivery - and plans to open additional shipping centers.

Netflix launched its subscription movie rental service in 1999 with the goal of using the DVD format and the Internet to make it easier for people to find and get movies they will enjoy. As a result, Netflix members can reliably discover and enjoy lesser-known titles. As Netflix grows, more people are watching more films, and filmmakers are reaching a larger audience. In turn, we believe filmmakers will produce more new films. Netflix strives to be the world's largest and most influential movie supplier.

    Most Popular Website
Netflix has been rated the #1 rated website for customer satisfaction for two consecutive years, according to a survey by ForeSee Results and FGI Research in the spring of 2005 and winter of 2006. In the fall of 2005, Fast Company magazine named Netflix the winner of its annual Customers First Award. Customers also laud Netflix. More than 90 percent of Netflix customers say they recommend the service to friends, family and co-workers. And more than 85 percent of new Netflix customers say they joined Netflix in part because of a referral from an existing member.

DVDs are delivered directly to the member's address by first-class mail - with a postage-paid return envelope - from shipping centers throughout the United States.

    Movie Recommendations:
Netflix members who rate movies will receive unique and personal movie recommendations every time they visit the Netflix website. These personalized recommendations are based on a member's individual likes and dislikes (determined by their movie ratings and rental history). The recommendations allow members to discover great new films they may not have otherwise considered watching.

    Netflix Facts:

    * Netflix has more than 55,000 titles and more than 42 million DVDs total. A typical neighborhood video store generally has less than 3,000 titles, with multiple copies available only for a fraction of these titles.
    * Netflix has more than 1 billion movie ratings from customers. The average subscriber has rated more than 200 movies.
    * Netflix's members rent more than 85 percent of all titles in the Netflix library each quarter.
    * Netflix distributes more than 1 million DVDs a day.
    * On any given day, about 35,000 of the 55,000 titles available at Netflix are in distribution.
    * Netflix members select approximately 60 percent of their movies based on movie recommendations tailored to their individual tastes.
    * Ninety-five percent of Netflix members say they are so satisfied with Netflix that they recommend the service to family and friends.

    Fun Facts:

    * Netflix members say they rent twice as many movies per month than they did prior to joining the service.
    * If Netflix members, instead of receiving movies by mail, drove two miles each way to a rental store, they would consume 800,000 gallons of gasoline per day and release 8,800 tons of carbon dioxide emissions daily or more than 2.2 million tons annually.
    * Netflix ships about 17,000 tons of DVDs each year. If placed side by side, the discs would form a line about 30,000 miles long.
    * If you stacked every DVD we ship in a single pile, the stack would grow by 4,500 feet each day and would be taller than Mt. Everest within a week.
    * New Netflix members say they are immediately more satisfied with their home-
entertainment experience than they were prior to joining Netflix. Their high level of satisfaction tends to increase the longer they remain with Netflix.
