CrazyPellas.net Mixtape Vol. 2 Ideas

I have been asked a few times now about setting up another CrazyPellas.net mixtape.

The last CrazyPellas.net Mixtape Vol. 1: The Awakening (MegaUpload and zShare links still work) was about 10 months ago, and went quite well, so I have thought why not?

That mixtape wasn't really organized, no specific genre or theme.

What do you think we should do for this one? the same as last time or a specified genre/theme? If so, what theme/genre do you suggest?

well the theme i got it the theme is a old skool type theme like the roots of different genre music it doesnt have to be a type of music just the the start of it like pete rock premo and u2 and aerosmith stuff like that

i wish i was here for the first one, but if you go with a certain theme or anything, i dont mind, i just hope to get in on this one, do i need to do anything special to be on it, or do i just throw something in?

What happened the last time was, a forum was set up people posted up there remix's/blends that they wanted on the tape, I downloaded them then I created a staff forum, where we ("the staff") reviewed the submissions and picked the entries that we thought were good. Then we just put them together and "released" it

How about we have producers drop beats and collab with a rapper or a dj to mix up some HOTT shyttz, i think genre should eb spread out so it appelas to everyones taste, I DEFINATELY WANNA GET DOWN ON THIS THO, dont leave me out :)

Anotehr thought, maybe we can do some international type beats, use some spanish, indian, arabic, european smaples and stuff.

i do beats so its whatever although ima southern fried ----- so i say south or the diff roots of hip hop i like that better

This is an excelent idea and I would love to play a big part in it. I can't think of an exact word or phrase to define the theme. But the overall story of the album should be about a talent agent searching the world for new artists to be on the lable.

The intro would be the head guy talking shit to him telling him he better start finding some talent or his ass is grass. But his response is bassically saying everyone is garbage, there is no real hip hop anymore, etc. Bassically all the shit we see going on in the industry now with all this simple ass snap music and garbage ass rappers getting by on the beat, or kicking up drama like 50.

At the end of the conversation the head rep gives him a set amount of money to travel the whole god damn universe if he has to to find talent, he then leaves and it goes to the first song.

Each song starts off with the sound of a jet flying past and the artist rapping welcomes them to wherever they are and gets on with the song. Every few songs is an interlude where he's talking back to the boss letting him know about the talent he found and you can hear the cats who have gone so far in the background talking.

This theme will be successful because it is a guy on a talent search and al lthe people he sees just has to show their stuff. This helps eliminate the genre barriers, as well as everyone having to stick to one solid theme. You got some cats who rap mroe on some thug shit, if the album is more about fun party music, they won't be able to vibe right with the project and vice versa, a happy party music cat may not be able to get too gangsta.

The album should be twenty tracks, where fifteen of them should be actual songs, the remaining five should be the agent talking to his boss. There should be an interlude every four songs, and the intro and outro. This way you hear the intro and get the story, four songs play, he talks to his agent, four more songs play, he talks to his agent again, four more, they talk again, then the outro after the last four. Each section should have a certain energy theme, I haven't thought of exactly what type of vibe they should carry overall but the emotional flow of an album is important reguardless.

This shit will be hot as hell and it's a nice way for us to rep as an organization. The fact that this is on the internet and consists of members worldwide is a benifit cause if -----s are really down, we can be on the grind everywhere letting everybody know about crazypellas. Just think, if everyone in every city took upon theirself to print a few houndred flyers and post them alllllllll over the city, that would be that. It will really get people who travel a lot, which are usually people with a lot of money, such as the talent reps we chase down.

If they see the same thing in three cities, they won't be able to resist taking a look, especially if it isn't somthing that neccessarily says we're an internet group. If we put up a name for ourself, like we're just a regular rap group, they would be impressed to see we've reached out that far and know that there are business minded people behind it, which is what they look for nowadays more so than talent.

Get back at me and let me know what else you guys come up with, but this is the shit right here, trust me.

if its not original it shouldnt be in the mix,
as far as the theme, a bit of everything would suit everybody.
maybe choose all the tight joints then see who mixes them best?
