I'm glad to see everyone else putting their input, but it's kind of funny to see so many people state the obvious, of course it's a good idea for rappers and beat makers to collab, that's how an album gets done, lol. I like the idea ofdifferent genres, having rock, rap, r&b, etc all on one, but it feels like a better idea for us to make a seperate album for each one.

From doing business myself I know first hand that it's not good to try to make a product to suit everyone, all of us are different and like different things. An album with all different styles of music on it won't really do that good unless it's a movie sound track or somthing. It won't be enough of anything to touch anyone on a level personal enough to draw them in. We would do better giving hip hop people a hip hop album or rock people a rock album than we will either or with all of them on it. Not to say there won't be anyone out there who will eat it up, but not as many people as there are people who would go for it the other way around.

We need to develope a structure for the album to go by though, it won't work if everyone just does their own thing and everyone picks through it, that's how people end up doing a whole lot of nothing for no good reason at all. Once we figure out a theme and flow to follow, we'll know what type of tracks we'll need and what type of vocalists will be needed for the project.

Yeah it's got to be cohesive. We should probably try to put one out every couple of months. And each one could showcase a different DJ (and I mean a scratch DJ, not a yell DJ) and have someone different host it each time too. <--- I said all this before but I'm just saying it again for fun.
