I first heard about this on Glenn Beck. It seems that these lovely white people had collected a nice stockpile of supplies and were planning on causing harm to Presidential hopeful Obama at the Democratic National Convention this week. The government is saying that there is no credible threat to Obama and there is no HARD evidence to show that the group was actually going to assassinate the candidate.

In related news, a Canadian citizen was found dead in a Denver hotel with over a pound of cyanide. The authorities are reporting that there are no links to terrorism or that there is a bigger plot in involving the cyanide. The name of the Canadian is Saleman Abdirahman Dirie.

The two events aren't believed to be connected.

@Yung Ace 214 - Well, are you really surprised that an assassination attempt on Obama is related to racism? It's only been 40 years since the Civil Rights Movement occurred. Additionally, white supremacist groups are some of the most efficient and deadly paramilitary groups in this country. An African American presidential candidate combined with armed groups of racists doesn't paint a pretty picture.
