MTV Cancels TRL

TRL is a major reason for the success of Pop music in the 80's and 90's. It has served a purpose and it is a good thing that MTV is finally pulling the plug. With the internet and the birth of other music channels, TRL does nothing that others aren't doing better.

And Eminem came out in the 90's. Back then, TRL was a unique spectrum for the music media. Now, you have dozens of outlets, not counting the internet, that cover music better than TRL ever did, even in its prime.

in the 80's mtv didn't have trl. back in the 80's mtv was actually music tv and not the bullxiet reality shows that they have now.

word. i haven't watched TRL since like 98 or something like that.. back when MTV was Music Television, not Reality Show TV. TLC, Juvenile, Eminem, DMX... That is the TRL i remember. when music turned to trash i stopped watching MTV and BET....
