Thomas Scantling, 26, of Philadelphia is the person that attacked a man with a hammer as he slept. He has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, among other charges. He is no angel with a lengthy criminal history of rape, robbery, assault, and drug violations. He was actually taken to a mental hospital. He was apparently upset that other train passengers were too close to him and his kid. The victim was 20-year-old Dewayne Taylor. He was fortunate. He was admitted and released from the hospital for head and neck injuries.

Seems like 2008 is the year everyone wants to be a psycopath.
