Political Punch
It seems that Obama has selected Joe Biden as his Vice President for the upcoming election.
It isn't official, but considering that the other potentials have been told that they aren't receiving the nomination (including Hilary Clinton) and the fact that the Secret Service is being dispatched to Biden's residence, it can only mean that he is the choice.
The positives for you Democrats and Obama lovers out there? The man is experienced. He had been an official candidate for the Democratic nomination and he also ran as a candidate in 1988. Biden would have probably been Kerry's Secretary of State if Kerry had won the election in 2004.
It's the best choice that Obama could have made.
McCain has yet to announce his running mate but it is believed that he will make the decision very soon. Individuals mentioned in the running include Joseph Lieberman, Tom Ridge, and Mitt Romney. I'm sure that most of you are familiar with Lieberman and Romney, but for those of you that aren't familiar with Ridge, he was the first Secretary of Homeland Security, a position created by the glorious Bush Administration.
Discuss.
PS: Looks like some of the Clinton faithful are turning against Obama because of his decision. 'Tis a wonderful day for the Republican Party. :)
