Basically, a bar is four beats (because a lot of hip hop is 4/4 timing). You obviously know what a beat is right? So just count four of those and you've got yourself a bar. It's basically just math when you think about it. Four beats make a bar, so eight beats make two bars. Read up on your music theory too man, you're probably gonna want to at least know this basic stuff if you're looking into making beats.

think of it like this. 2 snares =1 bar 4 snares = 2 bars

boom boom bap : boom boom bap = 1 bar

    fl terms 16 squares in the sequencer =1 bar = 4 beats = [] [] [] []o[] [] [] []o[] [] [] []o[] [] [] []
