Audition 2~i wouldnt recommend 3 cuz its more complex so 2 wouldd deff be a great tool 4u

you can also mix on there its alot harder then virtual dj tho, but....if you master audition you can pretty much mess with any other audio app

if you're gettin and mxl 990 (hopefully you're getting the set, and hopefully you're getting it from guitar center becuz if you ask for free cables there's an 80 percent chance they won't tell you no). the best way i know is to get an m-box mini. it comes with protools LE 7 and extra plugins. or if you have already bought an m-audio interface then buy protools m-powered they are both the same thing just different prices. i don't remember the list price but if you get an interface and a mic at the same time. TALK THEM DOWN. good shoppers never pay full price. but to get more detailed help ask the person you're buying from. becuz there are different programs that are better than others depending on what genre of music you're in to...

I would suggest getting pro tools. Also purchase a waves bundle that will give you quality and control over what you want your end result to sound like

waves waves waves waves,, I couldn't say it enough. They're stuff is for vocals, and it's the greatest set of plugins I've ever laid my hands on.. literally.

If you can get your hands on the Mercury Bundle, you'd be set.

Yes I love my Waves and I never do a mix without them!

As far as what software to use, well I'd say whichever one you find easy to use and works for you. Nowadays all the software manufactures have stepped up their game and to be honest what's going to make the difference in your production is the engineer knowing what they are doing, the room you record in, the mics you use and the interface.

FL Studio is a DAW and you can record in it using a plugin that comes free with it called Edison. You do however need an audio interface like M-Audio Mobile Pre USB or something that works with ASIO. As an alternative, you can use whatever method to make beats and record in Ableton Live or Sony Acid Pro.
