I'd love to hear how everyone's promoting their music. Let's see if we can get some ideas going...

wow no one wants to answer this?

well I meet new people. its all bout giving hand shakes & hugs. the web is cool but actually meeting people is better.
right now Im mainly making beats for my album so no new music to promote. but the best way is to go out meet people give away samplers. thats really how you create a buzz. & if people like the music enough then you got your city behind you. thats really what you need. then word of mouth can spread through the web to other states & it will build your fanbase.

there is a million different ways, its all based on your situation.

I do shows locally and around my region. You have to get your hometown and surrounding cities pulling for you and build your fan base with them at first. aim small then aim large. if i went to a large city like memphis for instance right now not being well known, people would be like, "who the hell is Jay-Mo? I ain't going to that show!" But get you hometown calling radio station requesting your songs enough and word of mouth will spread like hot cakes. Or you could get your homeboy to shoot you and act like a ghetto hero.
