Veteran newbie here ...

'lo all ...

I'm a newbie only in the sense that this is my first post on this forum. I've been logging hours on the internet longer than a lot of you have been alive ... back in the day when I started out the internet was a dream and all that existed was bulletin boards ... pure text.

Anyway, I'm not only an internet veteran, I've played professionally in two bands (DK and the Blue Jeans 1979-1994 and Jazza Diction 1999-2002) and currently have released an ep and two albums under the name Warryn Peace.

Now I am a newbie at mixing, in fact I'm working on my first mashup now and that's the reason I'm here ... I need instrumentals and acapellas to do the mashups the way I want them ... gotta' have 'em, man.

In addition to my musician credits, I currently own controlling interest in an indie distribution company (PeaceWork Music Net), own and operate two indie labels (PeaceWork Records and Buddha Belly Records) as well as own and operate a publishing company, All The Rest Publishing ascap.

By day (or rather by night) I keep me and my woman insured and pay a few bills working for Tops in Rochester, NY.

I hope y'all will be kind if I ask seemingly simple questions, I really am new to this particular scene and I think I'll be doing a lot of remixes and mashups ... I am the type that likes to tinker and I love music so the two go hand in hand here, right?

oops ... forgot to mention my musical interest lean toward jazz and rock but I've always been fond of hip-hop as well.

Like I said, I'm new to remixes and I may need to ask a few questions as I get deeper into it, so thanks for the offer.
