Hi! My name is..

Hi,

I'm Arno Moonen from the Netherlands, almost 19 years old now.
Been busy with music for quite a while now, I suppose it started somewhere when I was 8 years old.
Started playing the trumpet back then, I've played some other instruments since then; a brief overview:

• Flugelhorn (with valves, bugel called in Dutch)
• Acoustic guitar
• Electric guitar
• Bass guitar
• Trombone
• Cornet
• Drums
• A lil' bit of vocals
• Harmonica (just started)

After my current education I'm planning on going to a music academy and getting my Bachelor of Music Education.
Perhaps I'll do a Bachelor study in Studio Engineering too, or I'm going to do a Master of Music.
We'll plenty of time to figure that out..

I can listen to almost any genre; as long as it has some content and it is "musically correct" (no unwantend dissonance for example :P).
I meanly play rock, blues and some ballads on (electric) guitar, and on the trombone (at the local orchestra) well we play all kinds of things.

I used to record some tracks on my PC using Cubase SX3 and some neat VST plugins. But since my last soundcard started to let me down (it's funeral was a couple of months ago) and my pc is getting a bit outdated, I haven't really recorded anything.
I'm hoping to buy a new computer and perhaps an Alesis MasterControl (or digital mixer and some pre's) sometime soon, yet I also want to buy a Fender Telecoustic Deluxe.. well and lots of other things.
But that's me; always wanting to many things at a time, that's why I'm very busy a lot of the time.. It's a pitty a lot of my concepts/ideas don't get finished I guess, but I can always say I tried a lot :P

'lo and welcome. Nice intro! I tried flugelhorn and while I can play it, the sound isn't what I was looking for. I also play trumpet and cornet (as well as bass, keys, sax and viola), so you can see why I wanted to give it a try. Anyway, glad to see you here and hope to see more of you 'round the forums.
