Labels are only in for one thing, the money. And if you take time and exam the money spent and crappy rappers and crappy content you notice one thing. Labels look back at the Old Motown for inspiration. Back in the day, Motown had a formula for a hit song and they would get their artists to sing it the way they wanted and it would be a hit. As much as I love the supremes, four tops, temptations and etc., it was a point when EVERYTHING was formulated. And that is what created mainstream. You throw in a good chorus with a dance (let cha Shooooulder Leeeaan), a for catchy phrase (Everybody loves me, I'm so Fly!) and a few video girls and everyone is singing your song for 5 months or whatever the rotation of a song is. The examing the situation, a mixtape doesn't follow that format but sells well. They think they need t get rid of the alternative and that's what they are trying to do.

This was from a thread that got way out of hand that was suppose to be about young buck and Game possibly deadin they beef and it turned into a whole bunch of shit about 50 cent being a snitch.

So a lot of people sayin he a snitch because they either, following behind the game and the BWS or because they follow behind ja rule or its because they follow behind Bang em smurf

Either way it is all speculation nobody has yet proven that 50 cent is in fact a snitch and it jus opens up the flood gates for more and more speculations as to if he is really a snitch or not

When you ask people...is 50 a snitch who did he snitch on who he put in jail..they say well he snitched on preme he said preme tried to set him up

Ummm Preme is currently serving a life sentence in prision for the murder of E money bags conspiricy to commit murder and other shit, none of witch has anything to do with 50 cent..however Preme reached out to 50 to "testify in his honer" yet 50 cent snitched on him?? I dont think so

If you go to Youtube and look up 50 cent the snitch or whatever you will see a bunch of stop snitchin stop lying shit from the game...where he is also speculating on shit he herd talkin bout i herd 50 told on Preme i herd 50 aws in da federal buildin wit matix feds...a bunch of shit that he herd

but u aint hear dat shit until u got kicked out of Gunit huh??

To me i dont believe 50 is a snitch nor has he eva been soft or snitched on anybody in any way...i think that -----s is haters...what do u think?

ALL BULLSHIT THREADS THAT GET DRAGGED OVER WILL BE DELETED...PEOPLE TRYING TO START CONFLICT YOUR POST WILL BE DELETED AND YOU WILL BE WARNED. WE DO NOT WANT SPECULATIONS OR WHAT YOU HERD ANOTHER MAN SAY..IF YOU GOT SOMETHIN ABOUT THIS COME WITH THE FACTS..UNDERSTAND YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS AND WHAT YOU AGREE WITH MAY BE TOR DOWN BY OTHERS AND HOW THEY FEEL THAT IS NO REASON TO START AN ARGUMENT OR START ISSUES...IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED...

NO, it does not mean that the genre is dead, it means that the genre is just changed, and the real music is not as widespread. I think that it will always be alive, but it will just be harder to find

1 - Fifty aint a snitch till its been proven

2 - Hip Hop aint dead. It can't die. There will always be new genres being brought into Hip Hop & it'll evolve and evolve till the end of time.

3 - MIMS sucks. He don't deserve fame & money like ****** Boy, Hurricane Chris, Plies, etc.

Great Question !!!

Doing this for a living, the fumbles and walls that an artist (who tries to break down barriers) can face are staggering these days.

I mean, the business is so cought up in selling ringtones these day. It's not even about albums sales any more.

Most of the clone music that pollutes the airwaves today is all corporate !!!

There is no more development.

It's all "slam bam package it and stick it in the bin" today

No passion, no expression, no substance............

It's all assembly line product now......

Most of these cats can't even play, write or sing.

It's a shame.

Well, I can't say that their is no passion in the game anymore, it is just a different type of passion. -----s in the game these days in it for the money and the fame so if you judging the game on those aspects then the game is in a better place then we all pretend.

See this is where the game is in the 2000. Hip-hop has established it self as a multi billion dollar industry and just like any business no matter if its music fashion or movies when your business take the kind of decline in revnue that hip-hop has over the past eight years it is the jobs of record executives and lable heads to fix the problem

The problem is how to make money off of music when nobody is actually paying for music anymore. Nobody is buying CD's and it is rare people are paying for downloads as long as you have limewire fourms such as these and outlets to get the music why pay for it. This is the problem.

Yeah we can blame it on artist not coming out with soild music we can even say lables are not promoting them right whatever you want to blame it on but the problem is THE MONEY IS GOING OUT BUT IT IS NOT COMING BACK IN.

Lables are spending millions of dolloars on albums beats and videos..giving rappers anyware between a quater mill all the way to the full mill in advance but it doesn't come back.

So companies are forced to drop artist like Joell Ortiz who is bringin it his album the brick was a billion times better then anything that came out in 07 including some of the bigger names that dropped like 50 cent and kanye West but instead of getting the reward of a major album on a major label he gets dropped off Aftermath.

Just like Jadakiss said Ringtones blowing the doors of album sales. The game is in a different space where we care more about the personal lives of artist instead of the music so label heads are focused either on people who have proven themselves such as Jay-Z beyonce rihanna ne-yo people like that and when it comes in putting trust in new talent it is going to be some shit like Soulja boy because the reality is his fan base are the people buying albums you girls young kids into what is popular

hangin out dancin chillin so he made his lable some money mos def my point is the game is following the generation

we from a generation of Disloyal people who can't stay faithful so the music game is reflecting that just watch people like Hova cause he is changing the game and beyound changing the music business he is starting other ventures him and jurmain dupri by 2010 hip-hop wont even be called hip-hop anymore and music will be on a complete different level
